Waste Sorting & Recycling

MGB in General tips

(Wheelie Bins)

Lids on MGB’s (Wheelies) must be closed before our truck can lift to prevent damage to the lid.

Multiple bins must be placed at least 1 metre apart so truck can lift.

Bins must be placed away from obstructions such as power poles, trees, vehicles and uneven ground.

Regularly check the pins on your MGB, if they are loose or missing we can provide new ones.

GreenWaste, Fogo & MGB Tips

If it grows it can go int the bin

Garden waste without the soil, kitchen scraps such as fish, meat, bones, vegetables, fruit, bread can all go in this bin.

If using bags for your FOGO they must be compostable

Do not put wet lawn clippings in bin it will get stuck and bin may fall into truck due to heaviness or may not even be lifted.

Newspaper is not allowed, however a small lining of paper towelling on the bottom of your FOGO bin to prevent stickiness is acceptable.
